Strengthening Public Schools

Strong public schools are the ladder of opportunity. Kathleen has advocated to restore a full school year and make sure all students have the chance to succeed. Kathleen has two kids in public schools and is a consistent advocate for education.

A Stronger Economy

Kathleen’s experience working with small businesses to find jobs for Oregonians gave her a clear picture of how jobs are created and what skills are needed to succeed. She will push for greater investment in workforce training and infrastructure to make Oregon more competitive.  Kathleen knows working families are often without the supports they need she has voted to increase Oregon's minimum wage and provide work place protections for employees.  She knows when workers succeed, Oregon's economy benefits.

Accountable and Efficient Government

As an auditor, Kathleen has shown government how to provide better services with limited resources using proven strategies. She has applied her skills as an auditor to the Oregon Legislature to make government more efficient and accountable.

A Healthy Environment

Oregon’s natural beauty and our unique quality of life are among our greatest assets. Kathleen will ensure they're protected for future generations. Kathleen is proud of legislation she helped to pass in the Legislature, including the landmark Coal to Clean and Clean Fuels laws.  She currently Co-Chairs the Natural Resources Budget Writing Committee where she advocates for targeted investments to protect our environment.

Fairness for All Oregonians

Equal rights and protection of the vulnerable are among Kathleen's core values. She will continue to push for a government that serves ALL Oregonians, not just special interests, and will continue to fight to ensure a lived equality for all.
